Narrative of Video:
Someone counts one two with their fingers in front of the camera and then the camera moves to George Harrison who is standing alone in front of a brick wall playing the guitar. The camera is far away so his whole body shows. Someone walks past him. The camera begins to move in closer. Suddenly, a white van pulls up with the words Fab and Gear Musical Delivery written on the side. It stops briefly and Ringo gets out. He has a cello. He takes it over and sets it in front of George and then stands next to him with his arms folded. A hand appears and begins playing the cello. Ringo makes silly expressions for the camera then takes the cello away. The film is in faster motion. The scene flashes to Harrison in one the outfits that was worn during the Beatles Sgt. Pepper days. The video returns to Harrison standing in front of the wall playing the guitar. An hand appears from his jacket and writes the word "Fab" on the brick wall. A second hand appears and holds the wrist of the first hand. Two women walk past. As Harrison continues to do the song, the hand that is sticking out of his coat makes different gestures. Another hand comes up from the bottom of his coat. It reaches up and pushes what appears to be Harrison's hand on the neck of the guitar away from it. That hand makes some gestures and all three hands disappear. Two other women walk past. Harrison strolls away from the wall. Jeff Lynne is playing the violin. Harrison passes by him and another man who is also playing the violin. He settles against the wall again. The camera moves out and there is Ringo playing the drums on his left side and someone to his right who appears to be dressed like one of the early Beatles. A man walks past. Another man walks past but his head becomes wavy. The scene changes again and Harrison is alone. The word "Fab" is formed out of the brick in the building. It disappears and a man pushing a vegetable cart walks past. The hands appear out of the upper and lower parts of his coat for just an instant. Ringo pushes a kettle drum in front of him stops moves back and forth with the drum and walks forward. A man wearing some type of costume dances by and another man walks past. Ringo appears again carrying a very long keyboard behind him. The hand in George's coat reaches out and plays the keys. Ringo is also at the other end of the long piano keyboard. The hand inside Harrison's coat continues to make gestures in time to the music. The camera moves to the side and these swaying buildings appear above the brick wall. There is a parade of groups of four men who walk past Harrison. The scene changes again back to Harrison in front of the brick. Several hands come out of his coat at the same time and begin to dance as if they were doing an Indian dance. The music changes to sitar music to accompany the dancing hands. The camera begins to move away from Harrison. His legs fold up and he disappears as the video ends.
How the Music and Video Relate:
The video and music relate extremely well. The song is light hearted and so are the images. The video is very imaginative and well done with several unique touches in it.
Review:
I think this is a great video. The video is not only entertaining, but it also does a fantastic job of complimenting the lyric as well as showcasing George Harrison.
