Narrative of Video:
The video shows Springsteen performing in front of an audience. The camera alternates between shots of Springsteen up close and wider angle shots that show the E Street Band. Springsteen is moving to the beat of the song as he sings. The camera continues to show different angled shots throughout the video. At one point it moves back to show a full body shot and the crowd's arms are in the air keeping time to the song. The camera pans the first row of the crowd which is filled with young women. There is a closeup of a female in the audience then back to Springsteen. The camera moves to the crowd again and Springsteen "chooses" one of the girls to come up on stage. They start dancing together. The camera focuses in on the sax player and back to Springsteen and the girl. The camera moves back away from the stage and shows a large audience and the band on stage. The scene stays like this as the video comes to an end.
How the Music and Video Relate:
The video and the music relate very well together. The beat of the song is catchy and the video with Springsteen dancing reflects the upbeat song.
Review:
The video matches the upbeat tempo of the song. Springsteen does a great job of dancing in front of the pretend audience. The video helped to attract a younger audience.
