Narrative of Video:
The video begins in a machine shop during WWII. There is machine noise in the background. The camera centers on one woman dressed in a uniform and then pans
across the room where you can see someone in a welder’s uniform and then over to Pat Benatar who is working on one of the machines. The song begins. She stops
working and rests her face on her hands as if she is daydreaming. The camera moves to a poster of a WWII plane hanging on the wall. It moves through it to an image of a plane with its propeller moving and then into a military briefing room. The people who are being briefed are Pat Benatar and three men. The scene changes and they are running to a line of planes. Benatar climbs into the pilot’s seat of one plane with a male co pilot. Actor Judge Reinhold is one of the men. The
image of a finger pointing to a location on a map is shown. The other two men climb into the other plane and they take off. The next shot is of two planes in the
air flying. The aerial shots of the planes are really beautiful. The scene changes to a Nazi war room where Nazi military men are planning strategy on a large war room table. Outside, a Nazi soldier stands guard. Benatar and her group grab him and take him away. They sneak inside the building and plant a bomb. A blonde woman enters the war room and one of the Nazi soldiers leaves with her. While the couple is in a hallway kissing, the Nazi spots Benatar and her group outside crouched down below the window. He runs back to tell the other Nazis and they chase Benatar and her group on motorcycles. The image of the Benatar planes taking off is seen. The scene moves to Benatar singing as she flies. The next scene appears to be a dogfight between Benatar and the Nazi’s but the lighting is dark so it isn’t easy to make out what exactly takes place. The scene shifts back to the Nazi war room and the Nazi soldiers are angry. There are two explosions and then two planes are seen in the evening sky. The video returns to the machine shop and focuses in on Benatar. She seems to come back from her daydream and then begins working again. The video ends.

How the Music and Video Relate:
I thought the video did a really good job of relating the message contained in the song's lyrics.
Review:
This was, for the most part, a well made video. There were times when it was so dark I couldn't see exactly what was taking
place. It has an original concept and it did a good job of relating the mood and lyric of the song.
